Tikboys Barbecue Haus was founded by Mr. Lazaro “Tikboy” Tonogbanua together with his wife Mrs. Arlene Tonogbanua and they have their son Anthony Tonogbanua. He graduated at La Consolacion College- Bacolod with the degree of Fine Arts but instead practicing his profession, Mr. Lazaro went into business. He founded the “Tikboys” last 1983 with the financial resources aid by his family. He also made their specialty which is barbecue, and its secret recipe that make it stand out. Their first building was located the back of LCC-Bacolod but later in 2000’s, Mr. Tonogbanua suffered a mild stroke and the business decided to close, but after a few months as he recovered, the business started to operate again in a new site not far from where they were before. Right then they are not just offering barbecue but also “lutong-bahay” menus to cater the real taste of Filipino people. Their target market are mostly students and professionals. The customers get to know their existence mostly through word of mouth. Right now they are assisted by their son who graduated with a degree in Hospitality Management in LCC-Bacolod in their business operation.
